Ariana Grande Defends Selena Gomez: Stop Calling Her Justin Bieber's Ex – Hollywood Life

Ariana Grande’s got Selena Gomez’s back! The ‘Dangerous Woman’ singer is so tired of women being identified by a man, and she wants people to stop referring to Sel as just Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend!

Don’t even get her started! Ariana Grande, 23, defended Selena Gomez, 23, by revealing in her Billboard cover interview that it really pisses her off that Selena is known by some as only Justin Bieber’s ex. Ariana wants everyone to know Selena is so much more than that!

“I’ll never be able to swallow the fact that people feel the need to attach a successful woman to a man when they say her name,” she told Billboard, with the reporter noting she was talking about Jelena’s on-again, off-again, romance. “I saw a headline—draw your own conclusions [on the subjects] because it’ll be so much drama that I don’t want—they called someone another someone’s ex, and that pissed me off. This person has had so many great records in the last year, and she hasn’t been dating him forever.
